Privacy Policy
How the Academy collects, uses, stores and protects student information.
1. Who operates the Academy?

Legal status: The Academy currently uses this trading name and has not yet been registered with Ghana's Office of the Registrar of Companies as a company.
Operator's full legal name: [COMPLETE BEFORE PUBLIC LAUNCH]
Full physical business address: [COMPLETE BEFORE PUBLIC LAUNCH]
Website: agyenimacademy.netlify.app
The Academy's data protection registration position must be confirmed with Ghana's Data Protection Commission (DPC) before public enrolment is opened. The Academy will update this notice when that status is confirmed.
2. Personal information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, the Academy may collect:
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and account identifier.
- Learning information: courses and lessons you access, lesson completion and progress records, and student book downloads where recorded.
- Membership and payment records: membership plan, dates, payment reference, amount, currency, payment status and transaction identifier.
- Support messages: information you choose to provide when you contact the Academy.
- Technical information: limited information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website, such as session and server logs.
Please do not send your card PIN, Mobile Money PIN, one-time password (OTP), or full payment credentials to the Academy by email or WhatsApp.
3. Why we use your information
We use personal information only for purposes connected with operating the learning service, including to:
- create and manage student accounts and sign-in sessions;
- provide course lessons, learning progress and eligible student resources;
- check payment results and manage membership access, renewals and expiry;
- respond to questions, support requests, complaints and refund requests;
- protect the website, prevent misuse and investigate suspected fraud or security problems; and
- keep records and meet applicable legal, regulatory and accounting obligations.
4. Payments and payment providers
When checkout is enabled, payments will be handled through Paystack. Payment details are entered into Paystack's payment flow. The Academy does not ask students to send their card PIN, Mobile Money PIN or OTP to the Academy and does not intentionally store those credentials.
The Academy receives and keeps the transaction information needed to confirm a payment and manage membership, such as a payment reference, amount, currency and result. Paystack processes payment information under its own terms and privacy notice.
At the time this policy is published, the Academy's website checkout is still being prepared and must not be treated as available until the Academy announces that payments are open.
5. Service providers and sharing
To operate the Academy, information may be handled by service providers that support:
- website hosting and server-side functions (Netlify);
- student authentication, database records and private file storage (Supabase);
- payment processing and transaction verification (Paystack, when checkout is enabled); and
- delivery of account confirmation and password-reset emails.
We do not sell student personal information. We share information only as needed to provide the service, protect the Academy and its users, or comply with a lawful request. Some providers may process information in locations outside Ghana; their services and applicable safeguards govern that processing.
6. Security and retention
We use access controls and service-provider security features intended to protect student information. No website or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your password private, use a strong password and sign out on shared devices.
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate your account and membership, provide support, resolve disputes, maintain transaction records and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we aim to delete it or remove identifying details, subject to lawful record-retention requirements and technical backups.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You may contact us to request access to personal information linked to your account, correct inaccurate details, ask questions about its use, or request deletion where deletion is permitted. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may retain some records where the law requires or permits it.
You may stop receiving non-essential messages by contacting us. Essential account, security, payment and service notices may still be sent when needed to operate your membership.
You may also contact Ghana's Data Protection Commission through its official website about data protection matters.
8. Children
The Academy's online membership is designed for individuals able to enter into the relevant service agreement. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information should contact the Academy so the matter can be reviewed and handled appropriately.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Academy's services, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will be posted on this page with its updated date. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated where appropriate.
