AGYENIM FINANCIAL EDUCATION & WEALTH ACADEMY
Refund & Cancellation Policy
How to cancel a membership purchase, report payment problems and request a refund.
1. Important information
This policy applies to monthly online learning memberships offered by Agyenim Financial Education & Wealth Academy. The advertised price is GH₵75 (GHS 75) for one month. It should be read with the Membership Terms.
The Academy currently uses a manual renewal arrangement. Students initiate each monthly payment themselves; the Academy does not currently make automatic recurring Mobile Money deductions.
2. Your cancellation rights
Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), section 49, provides a seven-day cancellation period for certain electronic transactions for services, subject to the exceptions set out in the Act. One relevant exception concerns services that began with the consumer's consent before the end of the seven-day period. The application of a statutory right depends on the specific transaction and circumstances.
This policy does not ask you to give up a statutory right. Where the Academy seeks your express consent to begin providing a service during a statutory cancellation period, the checkout should explain the effect of that consent before you pay.
3. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email eagyenimboateng70@gmail.com or contact us on WhatsApp at +233 54 769 0599. Use the subject line Membership cancellation or refund request.
Please include your full name, the email used for your student account, the payment date and the payment reference if you have it. Do not send your card number, card security code, Mobile Money PIN or OTP.
We will acknowledge the request, review the account and payment record, and explain the outcome. We may ask for limited additional information needed to verify the transaction.
4. Payment problems and service not provided
If your payment appears successful but your membership has not activated, contact us with the transaction reference. We will check the payment with the payment provider and correct the membership record if payment is confirmed.
If you are charged more than once for the same membership, contact us so the duplicate transaction can be checked. If the Academy cannot provide a service you paid for, we will notify you and handle any refund required by applicable law.
A payment that is pending, failed, reversed or not confirmed by the payment provider does not activate paid membership. Please do not make repeated payments while a transaction is still showing as pending without first checking its status.
5. Refund method and timing
Where a refund is due, it will normally be sent back through the original payment channel where the provider supports that method. The time for the funds to appear may depend on Paystack, the bank or the Mobile Money provider. We will provide an update if additional information is needed.
Where the law sets a refund deadline, that deadline takes priority over any general processing estimate in this policy. This policy does not restrict any rights or remedies provided by law.
6. Letting membership expire
Because monthly membership is manually renewed, you can stop future payments simply by not initiating another payment. Your existing paid access remains available until the expiry date shown in your student dashboard, unless the membership is ended earlier for a lawful reason or at your request.
7. Questions or complaints
If you are unhappy with the handling of a request, reply to the original email and ask for it to be reviewed. You may also contact the relevant payment provider or your bank / Mobile Money provider about a transaction dispute. Nothing here prevents you from using any complaint or dispute process available under Ghanaian law.
